Antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory
100 g Mibarom contain:
Active substances: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 3 g; Erythromycin thiocyanate 2 g; Neomycin sulfate 1 g; Dexamethasone base 0.1 g
Excipients (grease, paraffin oil) ad 100 g
The product acts as a broad spectrum antibacterial due to the synergistic action of the three antibiotics, being active against Gram positive (staphylococci, streptococci) and Gram negative (coli bacilli) germs. Dexamethasone has anti inflammatory effect on the infected tissue.
Cattle, horses, goats, swine, dogs and cats
In cow: for treatment of mastitis caused by germs sensitive to oxytetracycline, erythromycin and neomycin. Mibarom may be also used in inflammatory diseases of the eye and in treatment of different wounds in cattle, horses, goats, swine, dogs and cats. In dogs, it may be also used for treatment of eczema, especially of allergenic etiology.
Do not use the product for long lasting period. Do not use in corneal ulcer.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
In mastitis the ill breast quarter is very well milked and Mibarom ointment is introduced in the nipple top after a previous antisepsis with alcohol. About 7 – 8 g of ointment is introduced in each breast quarter (nipple), namely: 1/4 tube of 30 g; 1/6 tube of 50 g or 1/12 tube of 100 g. Then that quarter is kindly massaged and let unmilked for 24 hours. The treatment is repeated for 2-3 days.
Wounds and conjunctivitis are treated by applying Mibarom ointment once daily for 4-5 days.
The ointment should have body temperature when applied.
In severe mastitis, the local treatment with Mibarom should be associated with the general treatment (antibiotics, sulphamides).
Meat: 28 days;
Milk: 7 days;
Aluminum or plastic tubes containing 30, 50, 100 g accompanied by lengthening tube.
