Solution for injection
Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic
100 ml Pandrom contain:
Active substances: Ampicillin trihydrate 5 g; Neomycin sulfate 7.5 g; Procaine 0.5 g; Dexamethasone 0.01 g;
Excipients (propylene glycol, sodium metabisulfite, nipagin, nipasol, disodium EDTA, distilled water) up to 100 ml
The efficiency of PANDROM bases on the synergetic action of the two representative groups of antibiotics – Ampicillin and Neomycin and on the anti-inflammatory and antiallergenic properties of Dexamethasone.
Ampicillin – is a penicillin obtained by semi synthesis which has a broad antibacterial spectrum and low toxicity. It is active against many Gram-positive germs (staphylococci, streptococci) and Gram – negative germs (E. coli, Proteus spp., Salmonella). Ampicillin diffuses well through the placenta, reaching concentrations in liver and kidney higher than in blood. It is excreted as active form by kidney (80%) and less by milk and bile.
Neomycin is an antibiotic from the oligosaccharides group, with bactericidal action, especially against Gram negative germs (Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas spp, E. Coli etc).
Dexamethasone is a synthesis glucocorticoid with anti-inflamatory and antiallergenic action.
Procaine is a local anesthetic, reducing the pain at the inoculation site.
