Inactivated vaccine against Newcastle Disease, prepared with La Sota strain
Inactivated Newcastle virus, LaSota lentogenic strain able to induce a minimum 4 log2 inhibohemagglutinant antibody (HI) increase, corresponding to 50 PD50 (protective doses).
It is intended for the specific prophylaxis of Newcastle disease (avian pseudopest) in chickens. Vaccination with Avipestiol Forte should be carried out following one or more live vaccine immunizations and minimum 2 weeks before laying period. Vaccinate only the clinically healthy fowls beginning with the age of 8 weeks.
The onset of immunity takes place 21 days after the first vaccination and lasts for 6 months and depends on the health status and maintenance conditions of the flocks.
Do not vaccinate sick fowls.
Do not administer during laying period.
Do not administer Avipestiol Forte at the same time with other biological products.
The product does not cause postvaccinal reactions. Sometimes after administration, low-intensity local reactions might appear (5 mm lump), which subside within a few days.
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
The vaccine dose is 0.3 ml. Administer a single subcutaneous dose (in the middle triangle of the neck) minimum 2 weeks before laying period.
ADVICE ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION
Take the vaccine vials out of the refrigerator 2-3 hours before vaccination so that the product reaches the temperature of 15-25 °C, for fluidization. Shake vigorously the vaccine vial before administration and during vaccination to avoid adjuvant deposit. After unsealing, use the vaccine within maximum 6 hours. Do not administer another biological product 14 days before or after vaccination with Avipestiol Forte.
