Active substance: Enrofloxacin 5 mg
Excipients (lactose, starch, PVP, CMC, aerosol, talcum powder, avicel and magnesium stearate) ad 100 mg
Enrofloxacin is a broad spectrum chemotherapeutic compound with antimicrobial action against even the antibiotic resistant germs. It is a 4-fluoro derivative of quinolone from the last generation of synthetic quinolones and has a significant bactericide action against Gram positive and Gram negative germs, mycoplasma and Chlamydia The germicide action occurs by inhibition of DNA-gyrase involved in synthesis of nucleic acids; thus the death of bacterial cell is induced
Dogs, cats and fowl (hens, racing and ornamental pigeons)
dogs: in respiratory disorders
cats: in kidney infections (nephritis, cystitis) and febrile conditions.
hens: in respiratory disorders;
pigeons: in salmonellosis.
Do not use in puppies up to the age of 12 months, lactating or pregnant bitches, in dogs with epilepsy in history and in hens during the laying period if the eggs are intended for human consumption;

Dogs: 4 – 7 days;
Cats: 3 – 7 days;
Hens: 3 -5 days;
Pigeons: 3- 7 days.
The product has antagonistic action with chloramphenycol, macrolides, tetracycline, teophilin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory.
Assess correctly the animal’s body weight in order to avoid over doses or under doses.
The official and local regulations related to antimicrobial substances should be considered when the product used.
Fluoroquinolones should be used as alternative treatment in case of low or non responsiveness to other classes of antimicrobials under clinical conditions. When possible, fluoroquinolones should be used only basing on the sensitivity tests (antibiotic sensitivity test).
Use of the product ignoring or deviating from the SPC provisions may increase the bacterial antibiotic resistance to fluoroquinolones and may decrease the effectiveness of the treatment with other quinolones due to possible cross-resistance.
Meat and offal (hens): 3 days.
