Associated vaccine against rabbit myxomatosis and rabbit hemorrhagic disease
- MIXO- homologous myxomatosis virus, MXO-82 strain, with minimum titer of 103 PCID50/dose and maximum titer of 106 PCID50/dose.
- HEMO- rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus, VSHI-CN-³ strain, inducing a postvaccinal antibody titer of minimum 64 UIHA.
It is intended for the active immunization against myxomatosis and rabbit hemorrhagic disease. The immunity takes place 21 days after booster (21 days after the first vaccination) and lasts 6 months. Carry out revaccinations every 6 months during the industrial lifetime of the rabbit.
Do not vaccinate animals with contagious diseases or nutritive-metabolic and parasitic diseases. If the infective pressure is high, vaccinate animals considering a reduced immune response. Do not vaccinate females in the last part of pregnancy due to the vaccination stress; the short period of pregnancy allows vaccination after birth or a few days after breeding (7-10 days). Do not vaccinate youth under the age of 30 days.
Sometime, a small lump which subsides within a week may develop at the inoculation site.
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
The dose is 0.5 ml, both for vaccination and booster regardless of the age of the rabbits. Rehydrate the MIXO component with the (previously homogenized) HEMO component. Shake well the mixture before administration. Administer by subcutaneous or intramuscular route.
ADVICE ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION
Use only sterile instruments. Vaccinate in maximum 20 minute after mixing the 2 components. Avoid transport-related stress one week before and after vaccination.
Meat = 0 days
Vials with 5, 10, 20 and 40 doses.
