Broad spectrum antimicrobial
100 g Oxirom contain:
Active substances: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 6 g; Sodium citrate 13 g; Methylene blue 1 g
Excipient (dextrose) ad 100 g
Oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic with significant action against bacterial infections induced by Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria or caused by Chlamydia, asexual forms of eimeria and large viruses. The effect of oxytetracycline in this product is potentiated by methylene blue which acts as general antiseptic.

In cage and flight cage fowls for prevention (in sick flocks) and treatment of streptococci, clostridium, pasteurellic infections or enterobactera, leptospira and actinomicete infections. The product is very active against protozoa as coccidia, amoebae or trichomonas.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipient.
Do not use in case of liver failure
A slight decrease in water intake can occur.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Oxirom is administered via the drinking water, as follows:
- preventively: 1 g/liter of water, for 3 – 5 days;
- curatively: 2 g/liter of water, for 3 – 5 days.
Use only medicated water.
Oxirom solution should be freshly prepared right before use, every 24 hours. Accurately determine fowl weight, whenever possible, to avoid underdose.
Use the product after testing the sensitivity of animal-isolated bacteria.
Take into consideration the national and local antimicrobial rules when using the product.
People with known hypersensitivity to tetracycline should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product.
Wash hands after use.
It can be used during lay in mentioned target species
Do not administer the product simultaneously with other antibiotics.
Do not administer with medication containing calcium, magnesium and iron, which they form non-absorbable chelates with.
In case of acute intoxication, start symptomatic treatment and overall animal support actions.
