Rivanol belongs to organic dyes with antiseptic properties. The bactericidal action is provided by combination of the antiseptic with the nucleic acids of the microbial cells, disturbing thus their essential processes. It has no irritating action on tissues and does not disturb the phagocytosis.
Dogs and cats
In catarrhs occurred in dogs and cats for asepsis of the wounds, urogenital mucous, oral or conjunctiva membranes. It may be also used in infected eczema and gingivitis.
The product is incompatible with sodium chloride (do not prepare solutions/dilutions with saline solution), zinc chloride, calcium chloride, ammonium chloride, salicylic acid, tannic acid, chloramines, iodine and silver salts.
Long lasting use of the product may cause delays in wound healing.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
The product is applied directly by wiping, brushing or spraying to skin areas as follows: surgical area, wounds, around the painful joints and inflammatory sources.
Rivanol is administered per se.
Bottles of 50 and 100 ml.
