Broad spectrum antihelminthic
120 mg tablet contains:
Active substance: Flubendazole 10 mg;
Excipients (lactose, starch, talcum powder, magnesium stearate) up to 120 mg
Flubendazole belongs to the benzimidazole group and has a broad spectrum antihelminthic action. The absorption occurs relatively fast after oral administration and distributes to all organs and tissues where induces the lysis of the endoparasites, regardless of their location (digestive or respiratory tract, liver and other tissues).
It is active against flukes, roundworms and tapeworms during their entire developmental stages (eggs, larvae, adults). The product has a relatively low toxicity and no teratogenic or embryotoxic effect.
Fowls, dogs and cats
Rombendazol F tablets is indicated in disinfection of fowls with effects on parasitic diseases caused by: Ascaridia spp., Heterakis spp., Capillaria spp., Syngamus spp., Davainea spp., Railletina spp., Choanotaenia spp., Amoebotaenia spp., Drepanidotaenia spp., Echinostoma spp. and Prosthogonimus spp.
In dogs and cats: gastrointestinal and pulmonary helminthiasis caused by: Toxocara spp., Toxascaris spp., Uncinaria spp., Ancylostoma spp., Trichocephalus spp., Taenia spp., Dipylidium spp., Mesocestoides spp. and Echinococcus spp.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
The product is administered orally for 2 consecutive days as follows:
- in fowl: 1 tablet/kg of body weight per day
- in dogs and cats: 1 tablet/kg of body weight per day
In fowl – after immobilization, the tablets are administered deeply into the oral cavity.
In dogs and cats – the tablets are placed in oral cavity and the animal’s mouth is kept shut until the medicine is swallowed. The tablets may be incorporated into the food.
Assess correctly the animal’s body weight in order to avoid the overdoses or underdoses.
Comply with the recommended doses and schedules of treatment. In case of group therapy, separate the animals depending on weight to avoid under- and overdoses.
Meat: 28 days. Eggs: 7 days;
