Broad spectrum antihelminthic
1000 mg tablet contains:
Active substance: Oxibendazole 150 mg
Excipients (lactose, starch, aerosil, talcum, avicel, magnesium stearate) up to 1000 mg
Oxibedazole belongs to benzimidazole compounds with broad spectrum antihelminthic action.
It is rapidly absorbed after oral administration and distributed in all organs and tissues, causing the lysis of the endoparasites, regardless of their location (digestive or respiratory tract, other tissues).
Oxibendazole is active against roundworms (including Trichinella spp) and tapeworms (larva and adults). Toxicity of the product is relatively low. The recommended doses have no teratogenic or embryotoxic effect.
Romoxibendazol is recommended for control of helminthes and endoparasites in swine caused by: Ascaris suum, Trichocephalus suis, Metastrongylus elongatus, Metastrongylus salmi, Metastrongylus pudendotectus, Strogyloides ransomi, Trichinella spiralis (adult intestinal and migrating larva forms), Maracanthorhynchus hirudinaceus, Cysticercuscellulosae.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Romoxibendazol is incorporated into the one meal dry fodder and administered orally, as a sole administration in dose of 1 tablet/10 kg body weight/day (15 mg a.s./kg body weight). The calculated dose is administered in a small amount of feed so that animals should intake the entire combined feed and then provide non medicated feed. Treatment should be administered every three months.
The product should be well homogenized into the fodder.
Comply with the recommended doses.
Assess correctly the animal’s body weight in order to avoid under- and overdoses.
Do not administer the product via the drinking water; the product is not water soluble.
